The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing. It gives a person the grace to face an illness or even death.
The Sacrament is normally given to persons who are very ill or approaching death; or to those who are aging or approaching a serious surgery. The person, a friend or a family member should call the parish office to make an appointment with Father for an anointing.
It is nice to be able to gather family and friends together to celebrate the sacrament.
As a parish we also celebrate an anointing Mass once a year, usually around Valentine Day. This is advertised in advance in the parish bulletin.
