Acolytes are generally children in 3rd grade or older. They assist at the liturgy. Usually there are two acolytes and one cross bearer at each Mass.
Sign ups for acolytes happens in the spring and training is in the summer. Acolytes serve on teams for a particular Mass. The team serves once every fourth week.
