Safety First! Parents, please remember to accompany your children to the rest room when at church. Also, please be sure to watch your children on the playground. Parishioners, please remember that children are taught not to talk to strangers or to take anything from them. Please help parents reinforce this by speaking to parents first. Thank you!

Fiesta – Vacation Bible School Update Our sign-up lists are getting filled up and we've ordered our supplies and our wish-list box is overflowing! Thank you to everyone who has loaned or donated items to VBS! Here are a few important dates I wanted to share with all of you. On Thurs, June 29th at 6:30 p.m . we are having a Work Party in the cafeteria to work on a variety of projects for Fiesta. We will color signs, prepare craft materials, iron transfers onto t-shirts, and more. We will also show the Being Safe video to our adult and older teen helpers that night. Anyone and everyone is invited to the Work Party. If you can, bring a plain t-shirt (can be white or any color) so we can get started ironing the Fiesta transfers onto our shirts. All of the children participating and all adult and teen leaders and helpers need a shirt to iron the Fiesta logo onto. We'll wear these shirts to VBS each day. If your children are participating you can bring their shirts, too. Then they can wear them on the first day of VBS. You might want to start thinking about what other fun Fiesta! clothing you can wear such as a sombrero, just to make it more festive!
Another important date is Thurs, July 6th, at 7:00 p.m . in the Cafeteria . That night we will have a training for all of our Crew Leaders . Station Leaders and helpers are also welcome to come that night. We will do an overview of the Fiesta program and talk about working with children and what you will be doing as a Crew Leader. We can also show the Safe Video again that night, if any adults or older teens are unable to attend the work party. If you can't make the work party, bring your t-shirt to this training and we can iron some more.
On Sunday, July 9th , after the 11:00 Mass we will set up for Fiesta. Station Leaders should plan on coming to set up your station and everyone else is welcome to come and help with decorations and set-up. This is another day we can show the Being Safe Video to anyone who missed it and iron more t-shirts! Station Leaders: Please take a look at what you need for your station and see what items you can collect yourself. Please let me know what things we need to find or get for you. We have ordered all the books, videos, posters, basic craft supplies and things like that. If anyone has any questions, concerns, or wonderful ideas please email or call me. Thank you again for being a part of Fiesta! You are a blessing to the children of our parish. Laurie Lloyd 791-2201
