Parish Staff on Retreat Our parish staff will be on retreat from Weds – Friday of this coming week. The office will be closed. Our emergency phone number is 990-5552. However, if there is a need for an anointing, it would be quicker to call the Corvallis parish directly - 757-1988. Thank you and please pray for our staff.
WCC Our next WCC (Whole Community Catechesis) session will be Sunday, June 4. We will celebrate Pentecost – the birthday of the church. It will be from noon – 2 PM (lunch included). There will be a repeat session Weds., June 7 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. Please plan to attend, even if you have never been to WCC before. We will welcome you!

Pray One! Knit One! The next meeting of the Prayer Shawl Ministry will be Monday, May 22 at 9:00am in the basement of the Parish house. Deacon Victor Will be ordained on Thursday, June 8 th at the Cathedral of St. John in Boise, Idaho. He will celebrate his first Mass here at St. Mary's on Saturday, June 10 at 5:30 PM. Parish Library Our parish library is scheduled to open on Pentecost Sunday – June 4. We hope that you will take some time after Mass to come up and browse. A committed group of folks has been working on our library for several months. We have a nice variety of religious books for both adults and children. We also hope to expand our selections as time goes on. Please let us know what topics you might be interested in reading about. Helping Hands Garden Market Stand Purchasing fruits, vegetables and flowers from the stand will help AHH shelter become self sufficient. We Are Collecting Signatures For the Parental Notification Petition both this weekend and next. This initiative petition calls for notifying parents 48 hours before an abortion may be performed on an un-emancipated minor. There are provisions in the bill for emergencies and also in cases of parental abuse. You can get more details at the signature table. Thank you.
The Family Of Dorothy Heintzman Would like to express our sincere appreciation to Fr. Betts, Bill Whitley, the 2 alter attendants and St. Mary's CDA for their wonderful service at Mom's funeral Mass. It was a beautiful homage to a beautiful lady who will be missed by her family and friends. A special thanks also to Pat Jacobsen for leading the Rosary Vigil and to Mary Austin for faithfully bringing communion and praying with Mom at Timberview.......... Thank you, Dorothy's family

If God Should Go On Strike How good it is that God above has never gone on strike because He was not treated fair in things he didn't like. If only once He'd given up and said, “That's it, I'm through. I've had enough of those on earth, so this is what I'll do. I'll give my orders to the sun…cut off the heat supply! And to the moon, give no more light and run the oceans dry. “Then just to make things really tough and put the pressure on, “Turn off the oxygen till every breath is gone. “You know He would be justified, if fairness was the game. For no one has been more abused or met with more disdain than God and yet He carries on, supplying you and me with all the favors of His grace and everything else for free!
