Our Mission Statement

We, St. Mary's Parish, are a people responding to Christ's call to conversion, new life and discipleship with a nurturing Community.

We celebrate this new life in Scripture and the Sacraments of the Roman Catholic tradition.

Our Celebration impels and transforms us to be Spirit filled individuals who can reach out and minister to all people challenging and enabling them to build God's Kingdom of justice and holiness.

Angels Among Us

Here at St. Mary's there are quite a number of behind the scenes angels who volunteer do much of the work of the parish. Volunteer angels help with our landscaping, putting inserts in the bulletin, serving at coffee and donuts, setting up the church for liturgies, and tidying up the pews and Gathering Space. We appreciate and thank them! Could you please help them out by leaving your pew tidy and by bussing and wiping your table after donuts? There is a halo and set of wings waiting just for you. Thank you!

“Justice for Immigrants”

Wednesday, May 17 ~ 7:00 pm – Upper Social Hall

St. Mary's, Corvallis

Representatives from the archdiocese will present a workshop for all the parishes of the vicariate on the important issue of immigration reform. David Carrier, Coordinator of the Office of Justice and Peace, will speak about the bishops' position on immigration reform, based on scripture and Catholic Social Teaching. Siovhan Sheridan and John Herrera, from Immigration Services of Catholic Charities, will discuss current and proposed immigration legislation and how it impacts the lives of parish members. This bilingual presentation has been well-received in other parishes and offers an opportunity for dialogue and increased understanding of this important issue in the lives of Catholics. See www.justiceforimmigrants.org for information on the bishops' campaign for immigration reform.

God's way leads to an endless hope.”

Catholic Charities 2006

Annual Campaign

If you think back in all of our lives, somebody helped us at some point in time – there was a turning point. For many people, Catholic Charities is that turning point. Please contribute generously to the campaign. Your support funds critically needed services for tens of thousands of people in western Oregon each year.

Retirement Fund For The Religious

Thank you for your kind support that was taken up on Dec. 10-11, 2005. St. Mary's parishioners personally donated $3112.00. The people of this entire archdiocese have been remarkably generous throughout the 18 years this collection has been taken. Our Archdiocese has provided $206,955 this year to support retired religious men and women. You are remembered in the prayers of these priests, brothers and sisters. May God continue to bless you for the support you have provided.

Won't You Please Be Considerate!

When you leave Mass, would you please make sure that you are not leaving anything behind that belongs to you or your family!! If you take a bulletin before coming into church, please take it with you when you leave. If you would be so kind to turn the hymnals, pages down in the back of the pews, it would save a lot of time for the folks who are kind enough to help put everything back in place.
