Our Mission Statement

We, St. Mary's Parish, are a people responding to Christ's call to conversion, new life and discipleship with a nurturing Community.

We celebrate this new life in Scripture and the Sacraments of the Roman Catholic tradition.

Our Celebration impels and transforms us to be Spirit filled individuals who can reach out and minister to all people challenging and enabling them to build God's Kingdom of justice and holiness.

Young  Adults

There is a special “Circles of Prayer” group just for you. It will meet on Wednesday nights at 7 PM in the chapel beginning on November 29. The Circle will meet for one hour for only four weeks. Grow closer to God and meet some other young adults from our parish. Sign up in the Gathering Space, on the insert in today’s bulletin – or call the parish office

Christmas  Gifts

St. Mary’s has had a Giving Tree for the past several years. Each year there have been some complications with gifts not being returned on time or families moving away. This year we are encouraging you to take a tag from one of the numerous Giving Trees in our Albany community. We are collecting “winter type” items for the homeless or for needy families. These can include items like hats, gloves, scarves, socks, toiletries, waterless hand sanitizer or wipes, cough drops or vitamin c tablets, tissues etc. You can bring your gift and put them under the Giving Tree in the Gathering Space. We will be collecting these items during December and January. Thank you.

Men  of  St.  Mary’s

Would you like a better prayer life?

Would you like to grow even closer to God?

Please consider coming to the Tuesday night “Circle of Prayer” group which will meet at 7 PM in the chapel.

It is for one hour – for only four weeks – beginning November 28.  All men are welcome. You can sign up in the Gathering Space, on the flier in today’s bulletin or by calling the office. Thank you!

The  Christmas  Wreath  Sales

will be done this year at Tom’s Garden. The same beautiful wreaths are still available; we've just made it easier. Simply buy Tom's Scrip and pick out your wreath and pick it up at your leisure. 20% still comes back to the school when you use Tom’s Garden Scrip.

New  “Breaking  Bread”

On the first weekend of Advent (Dec. 2 / 3) we will begin using a new edition of “Breaking Bread” – our song books. It will have the daily Mass Propers in it as well as the readings for the Sunday Masses. Because this edition is so complete, we will not have missalettes available. This is a cost savings for the parish and also helps to keep the church tidier. If you want your own subscription for a missalette, you can contact Oregon Catholic Press at 503-281-1191. The Catholic Daughters also have missals available in their gift store. Thank you.
