Thanksgiving Day Mass Will be at 10 AM on Thanksgiving Day. The office will be closed that Thursday and Friday.
Reminder The first Sunday of each month is “FISH” Sunday. Please bring non-perishable food items, toilet paper, soap, paper towels or diapers. These will be given to FISH, an emergency help organization in Albany and distributed in food boxes for the needy.
Eucharistic Adoration "When we go to the Blessed Sacrament, let us trust in Jesus' Sacred Heart, for it is truly there." "Jesus Christ, my Lord and my God, whom I believe to be really present in the Blessed Sacrament off the Altar, receive this most profound act of adoration to supply for the desire I have to adore You unceasingly, and in thanksgiving for the sentiments of love which Your Sacred Heart has for me in this Sacrament." (St. Margaret Mary Alacoque) Eucharistic Adoration is scheduled each Friday from noon to 8 PM. A sign-up sheet is at the chapel door for your convenience. Please call Jackie at 917-0458, or Caroline at 924-9952, if you can spend an hour in the chapel with Jesus.

Relay for Life Thank you St. Mary’s for you generous contributions to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event held last summer. After all the dust has settled we have finally received our final numbers. St. Mary’s donated $1,651.00. Our team did a great job moving our baton around the track for 24 hours. Thank you for your generosity and to the team for their hard work. We are already gearing up for next year’s Relay. Anyone interested, please contact me at 926-3331 or 760-1620. Thanks! What’s a Communion Service? Sometimes a priest is not available to celebrate Mass, but folks still want to gather to pray. A Communion Service is really a liturgy of the Word (the part of the Mass with the readings). The Liturgy of the Eucharist from the preface through the great Amen is omitted since there is no priest to do the consecration. It resumes again with the Lord’s Prayer, the greeting of peace and Communion. Hosts from the tabernacle which were consecrated at a previous Mass are used. At our parish we have a Communion Service at 8 AM in the chapel each day except for Sunday’s and holy days of obligation. Lay people lead the Communion Service.
Our Thanks to Larry Beary Larry has served our parish for several years as facility manager. Larry retired in October. He did a terrific job of keeping things in great shape here at the parish. We thank him and wish him well.
Prayer Shawl Ministry The next meeting for the Prayer Shawl Ministry will be Monday, Nov. 12 at 9:00 am to 11:00am in the basement of the parish house. Anyone wanting to work on a hand work project and would like the company of others is invited to attend. You do not need to be creating a prayer shawl to attend this meeting. This is an open meeting complimented with spiritual focus on the work of our hands. With the fall season upon us we are busily creating shawls as well as other hand work projects for the continuing goals to devote the work of our hands to the those in need through the love and healing presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you would like more information about the Shawl Ministry or the work of this ministry please contact Carol Hawke at 926-2106 or Pat Jacobson 928-2327.
Part time custodian needed Our parish is looking for a part time custodian – approximately 15 hours/ week. The usual schedule would be 3 hours daily in late afternoon or evening. Please contact the parish office for an application. Applicant should have some custodial experience and will need to have a background check.
