Our Mission Statement

We, St. Mary's Parish, are a people responding to Christ's call to conversion, new life and discipleship with a nurturing Community.

We celebrate this new life in Scripture and the Sacraments of the Roman Catholic tradition.

Our Celebration impels and transforms us to be Spirit filled individuals who can reach out and minister to all people challenging and enabling them to build God's Kingdom of justice and holiness.

provides the food for the funeral receptions.  Volunteers make salads, desserts and serve at the reception. We have experienced a higher than average number of funerals this year. We understand everyone's busy schedules, so we would like to add more names to our list so volunteers are not called as often.  The grieving families are very appreciative of this service our church provides and volunteers spend many hours supporting this ministry. If you would like to be on the list to bring food, help serve or have questions regarding this ministry, please email:  StMarysBereavement@comcast.net or call: Sharon Konopa 926-6812.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

"What is the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus?  What does it mean?  We all know quite well, but we need, no less, to remind ourselves.  We all realize that the heart is sensitive and beats more rapidly when it is under the impression of love.  That is why the heart is the symbol of love.  Really the essence of love is the will and it can exist, with or without emotional feeling, and quite despite this, the heart remains the symbol of that love.   "The symbol of love is also the Heart of Jesus.  In it we come to know the love of Jesus.  Everything is known through its effects.  And our Lord said: 'You will recognize a good tree by its fruits.'   The love of Jesus' Heart is recognized in a variety of acts of love.  Everything that surrounds us is an act of love on the part of Christ's Sacred Heart.  All that is within us, all that is without, is filled with God, with His love.

"The Blessed Sacrament is a fruit of Jesus' love.  Jesus' entire life and all His ministry is the love of His Sacred Heart."  (St. Maximillon Maria Kolbe)

Eucharistic Adoration is scheduled each Friday from noon to 8 PM.  A sign-up sheet is at the chapel door for your convenience.  Please call Jackie at 917-0458 if you can spend an hour in chapel with Jesus.

Our mission is to read and discuss books that inspire a closer, vibrant, living relationship with our faith. We meet the second Tuesday of the month in the evening rotating among participant’s homes. Please think about joining us...if you are interested contact Elaine Young at 541-619-6106 or via email at peyoung2@comcast.net  In September we discussed Letters from the Desert by Carlo Carretto, an inspiring book about contemplative prayer and love!
