Bible Study We will begin a Bible Study on the Gospel of Luke Wednesday, September 13 at 7 PM in the 5th grade classroom (you enter by the playground door). This is a Little Rock study program which includes a teaching video, reading and discussion. The cost is $10 for your materials.
We will also begin an “Overview of the New Testament” study on Thursday, September 28 from 1:30 – 2:45 PM in the parish house basement. This is a video / discussion series. The cost of the workbook is $5. It is a good study for beginners. Please bring your Bible with you to either of these studies. Thank you.
It Was Terrific To see everyone who came to WCC last week. We all learned about the Lord’s Prayer. For example, did you know that the Lord’s Prayer contains seven petitions? Can you name them? We also made and blessed prayer cloths for prayer corners in our homes. Our next WCC will be Sunday, Oct. 8 from noon – 2 PM (repeat session Weds. Oct. 11 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM). The topic will be the Rosary. Please plan to join us!

If your child will be in First Eucharist this coming year (2nd grade), please sign up on the pre-registration for Religious Ed also. (You don’t need to do this if your child is registered for St. Mary’s School). Thank you!
Infant Baptism Preparation Families with young children (infant – kindergarten) who want their child baptized must go through preparation. During September preparation is: Weds. mornings (Sept. 20 & 27) 10AM – 11:30 in the chapel.
You must pre-register for the sessions. At least one parent should attend, though mom and dad, god parents and grandparents are most welcome. Call 926-1449 ext 301 to reserve your space in the class. Cost of class is $10.00.
Does Your Family Have A Student Attending A College or University in Western Oregon? Our Archdiocesan campus ministries would like to know! The campus ministers and other Catholic students look forward to inviting your student to social events and Sunday Mass. Please fill out a postcard, located in the back of church with your student’s contact information. Drop the completed card in the collection, mail them or e-mail the info to the Archdiocese. We are eager to stay in touch with your students while they’re away at school.
Training For Eucharistic Ministers Training for new Eucharistic ministers will be: Sunday, September 17 at 10 AM. Training will take place in the church

Samaritan Evergreen Hospice Grief Education Group, Lebanon Starts Sept. 21st and pre-registration is required. A ten week series that is offered twice a year in Rm. 6, on 525 Santiam Hwy. in Lebanon. This group is open to anyone in the community who had experienced a loss. Each week a different topic is presented and homework assignments given. Vocations It is encouraging to hear how many young people are interested in learning more about the vocation of religious life! In response the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon Vocation Committee will offer several retreats and a prayer workshop this year for women between the ages of 18 and 40 who would like to learn more about religious life today. The first of these retreats will be a “Twilight Retreat” on Friday, October 6 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at St. Mary of the Valley Motherhouse in Beaverton. Overnight accommodations are available for those traveling from a distance. All OSU Faculty & Staff please join Deacon Chris Anderson for Noon Prayer every Monday of the academic year at 12:10 in the Newman Chapel on Monroe Street. If you wish, bring a brown bag lunch and join us afterwards for lunch and conversation as well. Come away for a few minutes of prayer and renewal in the middle of the day.
