Our Mission Statement

We, St. Mary's Parish, are a people responding to Christ's call to conversion, new life and discipleship with a nurturing Community.

We celebrate this new life in Scripture and the Sacraments of the Roman Catholic tradition.

Our Celebration impels and transforms us to be Spirit filled individuals who can reach out and minister to all people challenging and enabling them to build God's Kingdom of justice and holiness.

Peace  Be  With  You!

Each time we gather for mass, we offer one another a greeting of peace following the Lord’s Prayer. We turn to strangers and friends alike to offer them the peace that Jesus brings. As you extend this sign of peace, please also consider offering the healing that Jesus brings. Be aware that some of our parishioners have frail or arthritic hands and a gentle hand shake is best (rather than a firm grasp). Also, if you have been coughing or sneezing, please consider not extending your hand – but just speaking the greeting with a smile. Thank you for your kindness and concern!

Youth  Choir  Practice  Begins!

It’s time once again for youth choir! Practices are Thurs. @ 7 PM and the choir will sing at Mass every 4 weeks. Our first practice will be Thurs., Sept. 14. All 5th – 12th grade youth are invited to join. Please contact Bill Whitley @ 926-1449 for more information, thanks!

A  Few  Good  Men

Besides their monastic commitment to prayer and the common life of the monastery, the Benedictine Monks of Mt. Angel are committed to providing the best possible priestly formation to men preparing to become parish priests. They are looking for a few Good Men to be a part of this life of work and prayer. If you are between the ages of 16-35 and you feel that you may be called to the priestly or religious life, than you are invited to participate in a Monastic Discernment Retreat. The retreat is scheduled for Fri. through Sun., Sept. 8 – 10. Please contact Rev. Joseph Nguyen, O.S.B., Abbey Director of Vocations @ 503 845-3226 or by email @ abbeyvocation@mtangel.edu thank you.
