Our Mission Statement

We, St. Mary's Parish, are a people responding to Christ's call to conversion, new life and discipleship with a nurturing Community.

We celebrate this new life in Scripture and the Sacraments of the Roman Catholic tradition.

Our Celebration impels and transforms us to be Spirit filled individuals who can reach out and minister to all people challenging and enabling them to build God's Kingdom of justice and holiness.

Thoughts  On  Prayer

Prayer to St. Joseph over 1900 years old

O St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the most Loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen

This prayer was found in the fiftieth year of Our Lord Jesus Christ. In 1500's it was sent by the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going into battle.

Eucharistic  Adoration

The next scheduled Friday is July 27, from noon – 8:00 PM. A sign-up sheet is at the chapel door for your convenience. Please call Caroline @ 924-9952 or 926-5637 if you can spend an hour in Chapel with Jesus.

Pray One! Knit One!

The next meeting for the Prayer Shawl Ministry will be Monday, July 23 in the basement of the parish house at 9:00am to 11:00am.  A no-host luncheon outing will follow the meeting.  Anyone wanting to learn more about this ministry is welcome!  We have an assortment of yarns to choose from to create a beautiful shawl for this ministry along with a variety of patterns and help in learning to knit or crochet.  There are no fees or meeting requirements to join in this ministry and your hand work can be done at home.  Our meetings are simply a way to help us join in our joy of this work and share in our thoughts along with our prayers for those that we knit these lovely shawls.  Come and see what we are doing and the lovely array of yarns. Again we are always seeking donations of

yarn or funds to continue in this work of love and comfort. Our main support comes from your prayers for this we are blessed!

St. Mary’s Book Group

St. Mary’s Book Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. rotating among participant’s homes.  In June the group discussed Padre Pio and America by Frank Rega.  This book is a biography of Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, Italy.  Padre Pio is a modern day saint born in 1887, ordained as a Franciscan priest in 1910 and died in 1968.  He bore the stigmata from 1918 until shortly before his death.  He lived a holy and devoted life touching the lives of his many spiritual children in amazing ways…and continues to do so!  In July we will be discussing Mr. Blue by Myles Connolly.  If you would like to learn more about the St. Mary’s Book Group or would like to join us, please call Elaine Young at 541-619-6106 or email at peyoung2@comcast.net.
