Prayer Shawl Ministry The next meeting of the Prayer Shawl Ministry will be Monday, June 23 at 9:00 - 11:00 in the basement of the parish house. A no-host luncheon outing will follow this meeting. All meetings are open to anyone wishing to learn more about this ministry or would like to learn the gift of crocheting or knitting. We have lots of help available to teach you, yarns to choose, patterns, and needles to begin you on a journey that will fill your heart with joy and take to places you never dreamed possible through prayer and the work of your hands. We meet every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. in the basement of the parish house. There are no obligations for participating in this ministry and you can do this ministry from the comfort and quiet of your home in your favorite chair. The national website for the this ministry is shawlministry.com and is an adventure in itself...so take a look and you'll find hours of enjoyment and stories shared about prayer shawls. St. Mary's is a registered Shawl Ministry with the National Prayer Shawl Ministry website. As we begin our 5th year of creating shawls for our community and for those whoever and where ever this is need, we ask for your continuing support and your prayers. Without each one of you, this work would not be able to continue to spread the comfort of a shawl around someone shoulders. If you would like a prayer shawl for someone contact the parish office or any member of the prayer shawl ministry. A supply of shawls is always available for anyone in need and at any time. If you would like more information, contact Carol Hawke at 926-2106 or Pat Jacobson at 928-2327.
