Our Mission Statement

We, St. Mary's Parish, are a people responding to Christ's call to conversion, new life and discipleship with a nurturing Community.

We celebrate this new life in Scripture and the Sacraments of the Roman Catholic tradition.

Our Celebration impels and transforms us to be Spirit filled individuals who can reach out and minister to all people challenging and enabling them to build God's Kingdom of justice and holiness.

Parish Nursery / Child Care

We will have child care during the 11 AM Mass beginning Sunday, June 15. Our staff will plan activities for children primarily aged 2 – 5 years old. Young children are also welcome. There will be a short “Bible Story” time, then play time. Children must be dropped off and picked up by a parent.

Nursery Workers

We are looking for Lead Workers who are 21 or older; and assistants who are 18 or older to work in our parish nursery. This would mean about 1 ½ hours on Sunday during the 11 AM Mass. It is a paid position. Applicants should have experience working with young children, the ability to work well with parents, and must pass a background check as well as complete necessary child abuse training. Please stop by the parish office to pick up an application. Thank you!

Retrouvaille -- A Lifeline for Hurting Marriages

Is your marriage or that of a relative or friend heading for divorce? Do you know how to save that marriage? Or do you feel helpless? Retrouvaille is a Catholic program designed to help troubled marriages regain their health. Retrouvaille is similar to Marriage Encounter, but with one important difference. The leaders are couples whose own marriages once nearly failed. They inspire couples in hurting marriages to try new ways to love each other. The next Retrouvaille weekend is June 6-8, 2008 at Mt. Angel Retreat House, Mt. Angel, Oregon. For information, call 503-285-2342 or visit www.helpourmarriage.org. Couples of all faiths are welcome and no one is turned away due to financial difficulties.
