Oregonians discard 125 million plastic bottles each year. A deposit on the bottles could reduce those going to landfills by 80 percent.
Parents Our parish nursery is available during the 11 AM Mass for your children who are in kindergarten or younger. Several of you have mentioned that you would like to see something more happening than simply “babysitting”. We are trying some Bible stories and other activities this summer with the children in the nursery.

Eucharistic Adoration When we talk about the “real presence” of the Christ, we are talking about the presence of glorified Christ who was raised by the Father from the dead. This presence, “body, blood, soul and divinity,” is truly present by the power of the Holy Spirit in the consecrated bread and wine.(ccc1374). Christ’s presence in the Eucharist is the most special presence of Christ that we have. It is personal as well as genuine. This “real presence” remains in the Sacred Host reposed in the tabernacle, where we are invited to visit with the risen Christ alive in the Eucharist. The next scheduled Friday is May 18th, from noon – 8:00 PM. A sign-up sheet is at the chapel door for your convenience. NOTICE: Hours have been extended to give working people an opportunity make a holy hour

A True Fish Story! Not many people know that Thomas Edison was an avid fisherman. He usually included some trout fishing in his infrequent vacations. During one such trip to the West, he was befriended by an American Indian tribe. They provided free room and board as well as expert fishing guides for his stay. On his first night, he discovered that the only sanitary facility was an old-fashioned outhouse. To make matters worse, it had no light, even though the village had electricity in the homes. As a thank-you gift for their kindnesses, Edison purchased the necessary materials and personally installed lighting in the privy. He thus became the first person to wire a head for a reservation!!
