Divorce Care For persons who are divorced or divorcing meets on Tuesdays at 7 PM in the Parish House basement. This is a video series/ discussion group. Please spread the word to anyone you know who is divorced or divorcing. Thanks! . Care For Creation . Families with children in Religious Ed Our next religious ed classes will be Sunday, April 15 from 9:40 – 10:45. Please have your children bring their bags & books & papers (if applicable). Also, on that same day we will be showing age appropriate videos on personal safety for the children. The videos will be shown following the 11 AM Mass. Please plan to come to Religious Ed, Mass and then stay for the videos. The groups will be: Children K-3 (must be accompanied by a parent) Children grades 4 – 8; Youth grades 9 – 12
Parish Office Schedule Monday – Friday, April 9 – April 13 – office closed. Our pastoral staff will be at a Congress the week following Easter. Our office will be closed that entire week. If you have an emergency, you can call the cell phone: 541-990-5552. We will check for messages several times a day. That is the number also to call for funerals. However, if there is the need for an anointing that is urgent, you might want to try the Corvallis or Lebanon parishes, 757-1988 or 258-5333. We ask that you pray for our staff while we are gone so that we can learn more and then share it with our whole parish.! Father Ken Olsen will be here for Masses on April 14 & 15.

Call the office @ 926-1449 for more information PRAYER This year, our parish’s catechetical (teaching) focus has been on prayer. We’ve discussed the Lord’s Prayer, the Rosary, prayers of intercession, prayers of petition, the Creed, praying with the Bible and the Stations of the Cross. Our goal has been twofold: one, to expose parishioners to a variety of Catholic forms of prayer, and two: to help people pray better and grow closer to God. Now we’re asking for your thoughts. Our next issue of the Happenings will focus on prayer and we would like to hear your thoughts.
What does prayer mean to you? What are your experiences with prayer? How do you grow in your prayer life? Just jot down a few sentences on your prayer experiences (anonymously or with your name) and we will try to share some of them in our next Happenings.

Pray One! Knit One! The next meeting for the Prayer Shawl Ministry will be Monday, April 9 at 9:00a.m. in the basement of the parish house. This meeting is open to anyone interested in this joyous ministry. We have an array of colorful yarns waiting for loving hands to begin the joy of creating a shawl for someone in need. We have available help for those wishing to learn to knit or crochet. If you would like to know more about the prayer shawl ministry and how to you participate contact Carol Hawke - 926-2106 or Pat Jacobson 928-2327. Thank you! Thank you! Many of you have answered our prayers for yarn and we received generous donations of yarns to assist us in continuing this work. To each of you have that have contributed to this effort we extend our thanks and we continue to remember you in our prayers. Would you like to assist in sponsoring as special shawl ministry project? The Prayer Shawl Ministry is asking for sponsors for a continuing project that will require substantial and continuing financial support. Beginning with the Easter Season 2008 the Shawl Ministry has been honored to be a part of continuing growth of our church family by providing each catechumen at the Easter Vigil with a white baptismal shawl. This work will has already begun for next year. For this goal to be accomplished it will require a purchase of a volume of yarn selected specifically for this purpose. If you would like to help sponsor this effort contact Kathy Reilly or Shirley Holmberg at the parish office.

Divorce and Annulments Tuesday, April 17 at 7 PM In the chapel Join us to find out more about Church teaching on divorce and annulments. Also, please encourage anyone who you know who might be interested to come. Join Us for Breakfast K of C's will have another wonderful breakfast April 15th. The Proceeds will go to benefit the seminarians. After both Masses, Cost is by donation. Be generous and come help support our Seminarians.
OREGON RIGHT TO LIFE CONFERENCE will be held Saturday, April 21st in Wilsonville. Registration is from 8 to 8:45 a.m. Opening session starts promptly thereafter. Included among the guest speakers are Alveda King, an accomplished author, singer and actress and niece of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; Dr. Angela Lanfranchi, prominent breast surgeon and co-founder of the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute; Fr. Tad Pacholczyk, Director of Education, The National Catholic Boethics Center. Starting the day at 7:30 a.m. will be the Teen Oratory Contest. Four workshops are scheduled throughout the day with featured speakers. A delicious luncheon is included in the cost of registration. During the luncheon, you will hear the state oratory contest winner's speech.
