Our Mission Statement

We, St. Mary's Parish, are a people responding to Christ's call to conversion, new life and discipleship with a nurturing Community.

We celebrate this new life in Scripture and the Sacraments of the Roman Catholic tradition.

Our Celebration impels and transforms us to be Spirit filled individuals who can reach out and minister to all people challenging and enabling them to build God's Kingdom of justice and holiness.

Care  For  Creation

Be a selective shopper: start with a list and stick to it; buy long-lasting products which can be repaired; avoid disposables; carry your own reusable bag for your purchases.

.Habitat New Builds are ready to go.

St. Mary’s Habitat will begin volunteer activities starting Saturday, April 12; and followed by Saturday, May 3; and Saturday, June 7. We begin at 8:00 AM and usually go until around 3 PM. We are collecting names of people who would like to help and we can use you. If you can not help with the actual build, we need people to bake cookies, make sandwiches, or provide beverages. Call Francey or John at 541-791-3725 to volunteer today! The building site is on Howard which is off Marion and Queen in Albany.

Nursery Workers

We are looking for people who are 21 or older to work in our parish nursery. This would mean about 1 ½ hours on Sunday during the 11 AM Mass. It is a paid position. Applicants should have experience working with young children, the ability to work well with parents, and must pass a background check as well as complete necessary child abuse training. Please stop by the parish office to pick up an application. Thank you!

Extra Rosaries?

If you have extra rosaries (or rosary rings) that you don’t need, would you consider donating them to Helping Hands. Some of the folks there would really appreciate that. You can drop them off at the office or in the Helping Hands box in the vestibule of the church.

Reminder

The first Sunday of each month is “FISH” Sunday. Please bring non-perishable food items, toilet paper, soap, paper towels or diapers. These will be given to FISH, an emergency help organization in Albany and distributed in food boxes for the needy.

Volunteer Caregivers

would like to thank you for "Sharing your Heart with a Senior" for Valentines Day.  We were able to deliver roses to about 100 senior citizens who truly appreciated the gift and thoughtfulness.  They extend their thanks also.  In Albany since 1983, Volunteer Caregivers strives to serve the senior population in the Albany area by providing transportation, handyman help and other help as requested.  We could not do it without support from church communities such as St. Mary's.
