Mass on Saturday March 8 will be at 4 PM!!! Due to St. Mary’s School Auction we will not have a5:30 PM Mass on Saturday, March 8. The Mass at 4 PM will be bi-lingual. Please spread the word to folks you know who might go to the Saturday night Mass. Thanks!

You are asked to fast and pray for these forty days for an end to abortion.. Sealing leaky heating and air conditioning ducts can save 5-20% on heating/cooling costs. Use mastic type sealant not duct tape. Ducts should be insulated with 1”-2” of insulating batting.

Extra Rosaries? If you have extra rosaries (or rosary rings) that you don’t need, would you consider donating them to Helping Hands. Some of the folks there would really appreciate that. You can drop them off at the office or in the Helping Hands box in the vestibule of the church.
Reminder The first Sunday of each month is “FISH” Sunday. Please bring non-perishable food items, toilet paper, soap, paper towels or diapers. These will be given to FISH, an emergency help organization in Albany and distributed in food boxes for the needy.

Join Us for Breakfast The Knights of Columbus are making breakfast on March 2nd after both Masses. This breakfast will benefit the boy Scouts. We will have a little different menu. So come and enjoy a delicious breakfast and help the scouts at the same time. The price is a donation.
Lenten Reconciliation Service Weds. March 5 at 7 PM.
Habitat New Builds are ready to go. Habitat will begin volunteer activities starting the first week of March. We meet Saturdays beginning at 8:00 AM and usually go until 3 PM. We are collecting names of people who would like to help and we can use you. If you can not help with the actual build, we need people to bake cookies, make sandwiches, or provide beverages. Recycling St. Mary’s School is expanding our recycling efforts to include used cell phones and ink jet cartridges. A collection bin has been placed under the table near the school bulletin board. Please help us be good stewards of our Earth.
Weekend with the Sisters The Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon in Beaverton invite women between the ages of 18 and 40 who are interested in learning more about religious life to come for a Weekend with the Sisters on March 7 – 9, 2008. Oak Creek Girls Correctional Facility has officially opened and is currently recruiting for volunteers and Religious Services to be offered to the girls. The girls range between the ages of 12-25 and have a variety of religious backgrounds and needs. There will be opportunity for Bible study, Religious Celebrations and the delivery of Mass. If anyone is interested in applying please contact Lori Ramsay, Activities Director for Oak Creek @ 541-791-5927. There will be an application and interview process plus a Criminal History Check. If these all check out the volunteer will then be offered a 4 hour certification training offered by the Oregon Youth Authority. We look forward to developing relationships with our community and further developing the Religious needs of our youth.
