Our Mission Statement

We, St. Mary's Parish, are a people responding to Christ's call to conversion, new life and discipleship with a nurturing Community.

We celebrate this new life in Scripture and the Sacraments of the Roman Catholic tradition.

Our Celebration impels and transforms us to be Spirit filled individuals who can reach out and minister to all people challenging and enabling them to build God's Kingdom of justice and holiness.

St, Mary’s School

Catholic Schools Week, the annual celebration of Catholic schools and their contribution to their communities is set for January 27 through February 2, 2008.  This year’s Catholic Schools Week theme, “Catholic Schools Light the Way,” combines the concepts of God as the light of the world and the light of knowledge that our schools kindle in students.  The students and teachers of St. Mary’s School invite the parish to join them on Thursday, January 31 from 1:45 – 2:45 pm at St. Mary’s Church to enjoy performances by each class of poetry, music, or a skit that reflects the theme of Catholic Schools Week.

A second collection for St Mary's School will take place Jan. 26 & 27.  Please consider a donation to help further Catholic Education for our children.

Retrouvaille -- A Lifeline for Hurting Marriages

Is your marriage or that of a relative or friend heading for divorce? Do you know how to save that marriage? Or do you feel helpless?

Retrouvaille is a Catholic program designed to help troubled marriages regain their health. The program is highly successful in saving hurting marriages, even bringing reconciliation to couples who have already separated or divorced.

Retrouvaille is similar to Marriage Encounter, but with one important difference. The leaders are couples whose own marriages once nearly failed. They inspire couples in hurting marriages to try new ways to love each other.

The next Retrouvaille weekend is February 15-17, 2008 at Mt. Angel Retreat House, Mt. Angel, Oregon. For information, call 503-285-2342 or visit www.helpourmarriage.org. Couples of all faiths are welcome and no one is turned away due to financial difficulties.
