Confirmation for Adults Our adult confirmation program begins in the fall and concludes in the spring. Adult candidates for confirmation are confirmed with other adults in our Archdiocese at a special Mass in Portland by Archbishop Vlazny or at a local ceremony. Some information about the program: Who? Any adult Catholic who has not been confirmed is welcome to join the class. If you have not yet received your first Eucharist or if you have not been baptized, you should join the parish Catechumenate group. A calendar of classes will be available in the fall. A Sponsor: Each adult presenting his (her) self for Confirmation will need a sponsor. This sponsor should be a practicing Catholic who has already been confirmed. If you do not have anyone in mind, our team will help you find a sponsor. Adults seeking to be confirmed will also need a recent copy of their baptismal certificate.
